About The Role

The purpose of the role is to teach Science to students across Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4. Students at Red Balloon Norwich begin with KS3 underpinning knowledge (Y8-Y9), then at KS4 we currently offer OCR Entry Level Certificate, GCSE OCR Combined science, GCSE OCR Physics and GCSE OCR Biology.

To have oversight on the GCSE Science curriculum by having overview and supporting staff members teaching the GCSE curriculum, developing schemes of work and ensuring use of relevant supporting resources

To participate fully in the social community of Red Balloon and support emotional re-regulation of students where severe anxiety, trauma, SEN needs or other issues related to self-exclusion have led to a breakdown in a mainstream school placement.
